It’s Waste Reduction Week, and what better way to celebrate than the launch of the Zero Waste Educational Workshops for the 2021/22 school year.
On behalf of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD), AWARE will be delivering workshops to all communities in the SLRD. Zero Waste Education Workshops are designed to be interactive, fun and engaging with students learning practical waste skills that can be easily integrated into everyday routines.
Registration is now open!
This year, workshops are available both online and in-person and are initially being offered to Grades 4, 7 and 10, with the chance of other Grades participating in the new year, depending on availability. Workshops are available on a first-come first-served basis – so teachers are encouraged to sign up classes early! For full details click here.
