Why AWARE? AWARE has always focused on working with and for the community. Making change at the municipal level is to work at the forefront of both climate action and climate change mitigation. I am inspired by the work this organization has done to protect what is right in front of us leading to tangible, meaningful, and inspiring change. 

Why Nature? Years ago, when teaching skiing, I asked a young student where he was from. “Earth” he answered. How true! We all share one home. As Robyn Wall Kimmerer explains, we are not apart from nature but a part of it. We have the power to do good for our planet, our home, just as much as we have the ability to do harm. I want to be a part of that good.
