Why AWARE? While my background is rooted in research, I’ve developed a strong passion for community outreach. Being part of the team at AWARE means being part of the mission to empower local action to make a real change for the environment, and I am thrilled to be involved! What brought me to Whistler was a love for winter sports, but what’s keeping me here is the amazing community and the chance to make a difference through meaningful outreach at AWARE!

Why Nature? In a world increasingly marked by disconnect and uncertainty, nature is what connects us all. Connecting with nature is not only vital for everyone’s well-being, but it is also vital for a sense of responsibility for the planet and continuing environmental stewardship. Nature reminds us of our place in something larger, and why it’s worth fighting for.
