Why AWARE? Joining AWARE felt like a natural fit—I was drawn to the organization’s deep roots in community-driven environmental work and its focus on creating tangible local impact. As someone relatively new to Whistler, I’ve been inspired by how passionate and proactive this community is about protecting the places we all love. Being part of AWARE allows me to contribute to that shared vision and grow alongside a team committed to real change.

Why Nature? Being able to be in nature has always been where I’ve felt most grounded, curious, and alive. It offers perspective, clarity, and a sense of belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere. Canada and especially BC offer some of the most spectacular wild spaces in the world. The more time I spend here, the more I feel the deep importance of protecting the environment, and the precious world we are so lucky to live in.
