In summer 2025, we asked individuals living in the Sea to Sky area to complete a short survey, not just to share their thoughts – but to step into a role as changemaker in their community. Leading with youth voices and influencing conservation and climate action in the area that they live.
We created a unique opportunity for students in high school to get involved in local climate action in the Sea-to-Sky. AWARE’s recent Young Voices report, based on feedback from youth across the Sea to Sky, clearly showed that young people are eager to be part of the environmental solutions shaping their communities.

In response, we launched:
Young Voices, Big Impact Program
(High School / Fall 2025)
This select group of students participated in 10 experiential learning and volunteer sessions from September to November 2025, gaining leadership experience and insight into AWARE’s local environmental campaigns.
Students chosen were those who showed a strong interest in environmental issues and community engagement and participation in the program counted toward high school volunteer credit.
