Whistler GROW Program: Community Demographic Snapshot

Rooted in sustainability, growing community resilience: with support from B.C.’s $25M Community Prosperity Fund, AWARE Whistler’s GROW program is proving that access to healthy food, community connection, and environmental action go hand-in-hand in reducing poverty and building inclusion. With 42% of participants benefiting from physical activity, 32% prioritizing access to fresh, healthy food, and 17% highlighting deeper community connections, GROW is more than a garden – it’s a catalyst for collective wellbeing. Backed by long-term participants (17% at 7+ years), this is the space we prove that sustainability and social equity thrive together.

See below some of the latest stats from 2025 participants.

This work is made possible thanks to the Community Prosperity Fund administered through the Whistler Community Foundation.
