Repair Café

Don’t toss it… fix it at the Repair Café

Sewing at the Repair Cafe Whistler

A Repair Café is a community event where volunteers help people repair broken items instead of discarding them. We aim to host them multiple times per year, offering ample opportunities to reduce waste, be resourceful, and come together as a community committed to sustainable living.

How It Works

Whether it’s missing buttons, a crooked stool, a broken photo frame or jewelry with a wacky clasp, our skilled volunteers will help you through the repair–for free! We may not be able to fix everything, but the fixers will give it their best shot.

What to Bring:

  • Small appliances and electronics (toasters, blenders, alarm clocks, lamps, etc.)
  • Furniture (broken stools, chairs, picture frames, etc.)
  • Sewing, patching holes and tears in shirts and jeans, hemming, sewing on buttons and even re-stitching!
  • Jewelry (missing clasps, broken necklaces or earrings)
  • Cordless tools that need to be fixed
  • Wooden boxes that need pieces put back on
  • Toys and board games
  • …and more, depending on the individual repair skills of our volunteers

Come and give it a try!
