Join GoByBike Weeks in Whistler
Each spring and fall, Whistler joins GoByBike Weeks, a province-wide challenge that gets locals biking instead of driving. Whether it’s commuting to school or work, or running errands, these week-long events make it easy to swap the car for a bike.
Fall 2026 GoByBike Week takes place Sept 19 to 25
Why Participate?

Whether you’re looking to improve your health, reduce your carbon footprint, have fun—or all of the above—GoByBike Weeks give you the perfect reason to ride. So why don’t we do it? Often, it’s because we’re stuck in old habits. To create real change, we need to shift our mindset and make biking a regular part of our lives. Let’s start now.

AWARE is excited to again be partnering with the RMOW and the GoByBike BC Society to deliver GoByBike Week in Whistler.
This initiative supports AWARE’s strategic plan of building a sustainable, climate-resilient community. It directly contributes to the RMOW’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, and the Go By Bike initiative plays a critical role in advancing Big Move #1: Move Beyond the Car, outlined in the RMOW Big Moves Climate Action Implementation Plan. The initiative is also directly aligned with the RMOW Active Transportation Strategy, supporting the goal of achieving 50% of all trips by transit or active transportation by 2030.
