In Whistler, we share our home with so many differ In Whistler, we share our home with so many different animals. From dogs and cats, to bears and gophers, you never know what you might see right outside your front door. The Nature Photo category Animal Friends, is an opportunity to respect those that we share our homes with, and to serve as a reminder that they hold some real estate in Whistler too! Dens and nests are delicate homes for our furry friends and are often in unsuspecting areas such as under decks, in stumps or rock piles. When we are out enjoying our communal home, it’s so important to be a good neighbor by recognizing and respecting every living thing that calls Whistler home. *Gentle reminder to please give wildlife plenty of space and to never put yourself or an animal at risk* #weareawarewhistler

While many of our favourite species are easily visible, there is a whole ecosystem hard at work. Hundreds of thousands of species all work together to feed, process waste, circulate water and reproduce. Every living thing has its purpose in the process!
