In Whistler, we share our home with so many differ In Whistler, we share our home with so many different animals.

From dogs and cats, to bears and gophers, you never know what you might see right outside your front door.

The Nature Photo category Animal Friends, is an opportunity to respect those that we share our homes with, and to serve as a reminder that they hold some real estate in Whistler too!
Dens and nests are delicate homes for our furry friends and are often in unsuspecting areas such as under decks, in stumps or rock piles.

When we are out enjoying our communal home, it’s so important to be a good neighbor by recognizing and respecting every living thing that calls Whistler home.

*Gentle reminder to please give wildlife plenty of space and to never put yourself or an animal at risk*

This category is all about how we are part of the This category is all about how we are part of the environment. In caring for it, we care for ourselves, each other, and make the world a better place.

You can demonstrate your care through documenting the process of taking an extra step to reduce your impact, or simply appreciating beauty and uniqueness.

Part of caring for places and species is also protecting their anonymity. We want to love these places but keep them as naturally untouched as possible, so please remember in all categories not to geotag or share locations!
